When I started to consider a long distance hike in the USA, and finally got hooked by the John Muir Trail as my prefered choice, I was researching every useful information in the web and elsewhere. Obviously, most of those many blogs, youtube videos, forum threads or simply web sites have been created by US residents. But I am a German native, living on my side of the pond – so sometimes I may need another approach, e. g. for transportation&logistics, food, resupply, available gear.
This web site is just a raw collection of ideas, experiences, links, photos, lists, from my viewpoint. A lot will be similar to others’ experiences, some may be specific and different. I am happy if I can help someone to find their own way to the beautiful Range of Light.
